In The Beginning
In 1997 then Omar Thibeaux, an ordinary 21 year old, encountered an extraordinary God. He was saved by the Lord Jesus Christ radically and has never been the same. A vessel that was once filled with void and the unknown was given a purpose that was beyond all he could imagine or even think. In 2006, he accepted his calling to the ministry. Under the guidance of his then Pastor, he began preparing for leading services. Pastor Omar taught a thriving bible study while attending New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary which lead to the birth of Philadelphia Christian Church on April 8, 2007.
Ebenezer Stones
God has truly blessed Philadelphia. First as a bible study then as a church, the people of God has gathered at several sites to share the good news of Jesus Christ. From a law office that seated twenty people to an abandoned grocery store closed over twenty years and many places in between are the places thus far the Lord has helped us. Each building overflowed by the growth of the congregation leading Pastor Omar to seek a location that would receive the souls of men.
Glory To Glory
God is expanding Philadelphia's territory. Pastor Omar and First Lady Chantelle has embarked upon the opening of Philadelphia Christian Academy (PCA). PCA is a Christ centered and character building academia of excellence. The Mission of Philadelphia Christian Academy is to expand the Kingdom of God by raising up Godly seed and teaching educational excellence through a biblical world view that will transform our world for generations to come.
